Seminar on Turkish Geography for TÖMER Students

In order for Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) students to get to know Turkey better before they graduate, Assoc. Dr. A seminar titled "Geography of Turkey" was given by Oya ERENOĞLU on April 17, 2024 at 13.00 in the Cemil Meriç Conference Hall.

In the seminar, information was given about Turkey's location in the world, its physical and geological features, regions, climate characteristics, vegetation and grown products. A very comprehensive seminar was held, focusing on Turkey's historical and touristic places.

Answering the questions of TÖMER students at the end of the seminar, ERENOĞLU emphasized to the students that they live in an earthquake zone and emphasized the importance of having knowledge about this subject. Then he talked about the causes and possible risks of the earthquake. Stating that the second seminar will be about this subject, ERENOĞLU said; He concluded his speech by promising to tell TÖMER students what to do before and during an earthquake in the next seminar.
