"Turkish Language Teaching Center Managers Coordination Meeting in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute and TÖMERs"

The "Turkish Teaching Center Managers Coordination Meeting", organized under the auspices of Yunus Emre Institute and in cooperation with TÖMERs, was held in Ankara for three days on 8, 9 and 10 March 2024.

While a total of 103 TÖMER directors participated in the organization organized within the scope of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, Center Director Dr. Lecturer Member Melek KALIN SALI attended.

The organization was first organized by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. It started with Serdar ÇAM's speech emphasizing the importance of the Turkish language. Taking the floor afterwards, Yunus Emre Institute President Şeref ATEŞ explained that they had created a support package to support Turkish language and Turkish teaching and shared its content. Ateş added that they, as Yunus Emre Institute, will provide financial support to all projects developed together or by TÖMERs, and in this way, they will encourage the work at universities on site.

In the organization, which was held around six sessions in total after the opening session, the importance of teaching Turkish as a foreign language was generally emphasized, and in this context, the current problems of TÖMERs and suggestions for solutions to these problems were also discussed. The outcomes of the sessions, which were held with intensive work, were finally presented and shared in the negotiation session. The organization ended with closing speeches and group photos.
